Call for Papers – INDIACom 2017 – Smart City Applications

After the resounding success of past ten editions of INDIACom, since its inception in 2007; INDIACom – 2017 (IEEE Conference ID: 40353); 11th INDIACom; 2017 “International Conference on Computing For Sustainable Global Development”, sponsored by IEEE Delhi Section is to be held during 01st – 03rd March, 2017 at Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, India.

During INDIACom-2017, a special session on “Digital technologies for Smart City/ Village Applications” (SSID:9.025) will be conducted by Mr. Sachin Sadare, as session chairman. Original contributions in form of research papers are solicited for the special session “Digital technologies for Smart City/ Village Applications”.

The aim of the special session on ‘Digital technologies for Smart City/ Village Applications’ is to unearth any thoughts, concepts or solutions pertaining to smart city applications based on the new age digital technologies. The global world is facing a digital disruption in every industry and facet of life. Digital technologies and their application for smart city solutions have the potential to change business models and revenue streams. Smart villages are going to transform Indian economy and digital technologies are going to play a major role in that.

The aim is to (1) present transforming, evolving, or novel ideas about digital technologies and smart city/ village applications and (2) encourage discussions about digital applications. We welcome papers that represent multiple points of views and conceptual ideas. The ‘Digital technologies for Smart City/ Village Applications’ special session is seeking original research & papers on the influence of digital technologies on the future of human existence – in cities & villages.

Areas of Coverage: Participants are encouraged to think about smart city/ village applications involving the use of upcoming digital technologies. The areas of coverage include but are not limited to the following digital technologies:

Steps to submit the Paper in the Special Session of INDIACom-2017: 

  1. Register at web-portal at and obtain the Membership ID (MID), which is free of cost.
  2. Login with MID and Password at
  3. Click on Submit Paper tab
    1. Select the event as “INDIACom-2017”
    2. Select “Track # 9: Software Systems and Architecture”
    3. Select the Special Session as “9.25 Digital technologies for Smart City Applications from the list and write title of the paper
    4. Upload the actual paper (MS-Word compatible format either in .doc and .docx) and plagiarism report
    5. Write the MIDs of all the authors / co-authors and select the Radio button corresponding to the MID of the author / co-author to make him a Corresponding Author
  4. Click the Submit Button, a unique Paper ID (PID) will be auto-generated for that paper
